Abraham has been through a lot in the past few years, and this former
Teen Mom star is opening up about a traumatizing event in her life that
she's kept quiet until now.
In the new issue of In Touch, Farrah revealed that she was raped multiple times after the release of her porn movie, Farrah Superstar: Backdoor Teen Mom.
“I was drugged and raped more than once," Farrah said, adding that she put herself in a slew of unsafe situations in the wake of her sex tape. "I allowed the [wrong] type of people into my life. It was a very dark time."
This is shocking and saddening news to say the least, but Farrah's recent sexual assault isn't the first time she's been physically abused. This 22-year-old reality star also opened up about the abuse she experienced at the hands of her parents, Debra Danielson and Michael Abraham.
“[They] would beat me with a belt if I acted out," she said. "I had cuts, bruises, welts, swelling and scars.”
Fans of Teen Mom will remember Debra slapping Farrah on the show, which Farrah says was the last straw.
“It was a turning point,” she explains. “I needed to stop the abuse.” Luckily, Farrah has been able to get through these traumatic events thanks to therapy. "I [still have] a lot of issues,” she says, “but I’m more aware now, and I’m determined to break the pattern.”
We assume Farrah has been working on her relationship with Debra as well as Michael — who lives with Farrah in Texas and often cares for her daughter, Sophia.
