Senator David Mark Loses Younger Sister During Child Birth

Senate President David Mark has lost his 35 year-old younger sister, Mrs. Mary Onma-Adakole, who died in Abuja after child birth.
A statement by Mark’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Kola Ologbondiyan, on Thursday, confirmed the develoment and quoted the late Onma-Adakole’s  younger brother, Mr. Igoche Mark,  saying that the deceased would be buried in her home town, Otukpo, Benue State, on Friday.
Mark described his late sister ” as a straight forward, hardworking and benevolent with plenty of vision and hope for a greater tomorrow” adding that the death was a huge loss to the Mark’s family.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Senate Ike Ekweremadu, Senate leader Victor Ndoma-Egba , his Deputy Abdul Ningi, Senators Ifeanyi Okowa, Suleiman Adokwe, James Manager, Andy Uba,  and Ayogu Eze were among early callers to commiserate with the President of the Senate in his Apo residence on Thursday.
Also the Benue State Governor Gabriel Suswam, Aviation Minister Stella Oduah, Petroleum’s Deziani Madueke, Water Resources’ Sarah Ochekpe, Interior’s Comrade Abba-Moro as well as Minister of State, Trade and Investment Dr. Sam Ortom were among those who also paid condolence visit to the Mark’s family.
Uba, who is the Chairman, Senate Committee on Independent National Electoral Commission , in his condolence remarks,  described her death as “a rather sad and unfortunate incident”.
He, nevertheless urged the Senate President to remain strong for the family and find solace in his Christian faith at a difficult time like this.
He also prayed for the repose of the soul of the late  Adekole and urged the family she left behind to take comfort in the memory she shared with them while she was alive
