MONSTER TUMOUR: Woman Has 40kg Tumour Removed From Her Stomach [GRAPHIC CONTENT]

A woman has undergone surgery to have a monster tumour removed from her that weighed an astonishing six stone.
The unidentified woman had been living with the growth inside her stomach for several years because she was so scared at what the doctors would tell her.

But the 36kg growth made the 47-year-old stomach swell to nearly 20 times its normal size, leaving her bed-ridden.
It was only at this point that the woman decided to get help for her condition, and doctors performed a life-saving operation to have the malignant tumour removed at Zlin Regional Hospital in Zlin, in the Czech Republic, last month.
Surgeons spent more than seven hours removing the unsightly growth from her stomach, removing another four-and-a-half stone of surrounding tissue in the process.

The woman, who was 18 stone before the operation, was left an astonishing 10 stone lighter once the tumour was taken out.
Zdenek Adamik, head of the obstetrics and gynaecology department at the hospital, said it was baffling why the woman's family didn't encourage her to seek help after being left confined to her bed.

He said: "The patient weighed 117 kilos before the operation and now she weighs 51 kilos.
It is strange that the family and friends were unable to react to what was going on with the lady because just the weight of the tumour confined her to bed and she could not live a normal life."
The woman's condition is being monitored and it's not yet known if she'll make a full recovery.
